First Aid for Teeth

If a permanent tooth is knocked out completely

• Retrieve the tooth, but do not touch its root, hold it by the crown.
• Place the tooth in milk, or water if no milk available. Do not put the tooth in antiseptic.
• Arrange to see a dentist as soon as possible.

If a permanent front tooth is fractured

• Retrieve the fractured piece if possible.
• Place the fragment in milk or water. Do not put it in antiseptic.
• Arrange to see a dentist as soon as possible.
